HAPPY EID UL-FITR!!

Sa mga pagari ko namba, Happy Eid uL-Fitr....

For those who may not know what it is... It is a muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadhan, the month of fasting...

And sa mga kapatid kong muslim lalo na sa aking lupang tinubuan sa North Cotabato, they are celebrating it with a Bang! I remember, yung kapitbahay namin na muslim, punong puno ng tao ang kanilang tahanan from people na kahit di nila kilala... Ganun daw e, pag mejo mayaman ka nga naman, kahit na hindi mo kilala, lalapit sayo at makiki-celebrate...

Sobrang bait ng "SAPAL Family" na aming kapitbahay, dahil kahit na hindi nila kami kamag-anak, they treated us one... Lagi kaming imbitado pag Eid uL-Fitr na... Madaling araw pa lang, may kainan na... Baka, kambing, manok, pato etc., Mabubusog ka talaga...

This is how they celebrate Eid Ul-Fitr... Eid is an Arabic term meaning "festivity" or "celebration" while Fitr means to break the fast and can also mean "nature" from the word "fitrat", and therefore symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period which they called Ramadan...

Sa lahat ng mga muslim, Eid ul-Fitr is the most joyous occasion with important religious significance, celebrating of the achievement of enhanced piety... Ito rin yung araw ng pagpapatawad, moral victory, peace of congregation, fellowship, brotherhood and unity... Pero hindi lamang sila nagcecelbrate doon kundi ang lahat ng mga muslim ay nagpapasalamat din kay Allah sa tulong at lakas ng katawan para malagpasan ang ilang araw na walang kain... Ito rin ay panahon ng pagbibigayan at makikita mo ang ibat-ibang magagarang damit ng mga muslim...

Ito yung lagi mong maririnig sa mga mosque:

la ilaha illa Allah
لا إله إلا الله
